Yuma, AZ: Travel contract Speech-Language Pathologist
Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists who want to live and work in Yuma, AZ! Soliant has partnered with a K-8 school district, and is seeking travel contractors for the current school year.
Requirements:
- Arizona SLP license
- Fingerprint clearance card--out-of-state applicants are advised to either start the application process in advance, or to travel to Arizona to complete their fingerprint clearances
- 1+ years of schools-based experience preferred
- Applicants need to be living and working for 11 months or less in a location 75+ miles from their tax residence
As a Speech-Language Pathologist in an education setting, clinicians will:
- Serve on Child Study Teams at each school to evaluate children referred for communication disorders
- Conduct both informal and standardized assessments to determine students' level of speech therapy needs
- Consult with or support teachers in observing, describing and referring students who may have speech and language impairments
- Write reports based on evaluation results, in accordance with state and federal mandates
- Develop IEP goals in collaboration with District staff and families
- Present evaluation reports and IEP goals at meetings
- In some cases, SLPs may be called upon to supervise Clinical Fellows, student interns (at both the graduate and undergraduate level), and SLPAs
