Are you a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) looking for a rewarding career in Watertown, Massachusetts? Qualifications for the SLPA Role:
- Associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid SLPA certification in Massachusetts
- Previous experience working with children is preferred but not required
Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students with various communication challenges
- Manage a diverse caseload of K-12 students, addressing a wide range of speech and language disorders
- Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to help support individual education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct speech evaluations and deliver customized therapy sessions
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
