Washington, DC - YEAR ROUND - SLP - Speech Language Pathologist - Schools
Multiple schools in the Washington, DC area are in dire need of passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for year-round positions. The SLP's responsibilities include evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders, creating customized treatment plans, and providing education and training to families and caregivers. The director is prepared to promptly review applications and conduct interviews.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each patient’s unique needs.
- Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student support.
- Supervise and provide guidance to speech therapy assistants as needed.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a speech-language pathology setting.
- Experience working in a school setting as an SLP is preferred.
Education:
- Must have a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Full accreditation (CCC) is preferred.
- Must be in at least the Clinical Fellowship Year.
