Remote Speech-Language Pathologist Role
VocoVision is excited to partner with a prominent school district located in the Albuquerque, NM region, seeking to recruit a remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2024-2025 school year. Individuals with experience in educational environments are highly encouraged to apply, as the district is eager to fill this position quickly.
Note on Location: Applicants are not required to live in New Mexico; however, you must have licenses for both your home state and New Mexico.
Position Details:
- Work Type: Full-time or part-time for the 2024-2025 school year
- Student Load: 40-55 students, with assistance from other remote SLPs and onsite staff
- Hourly Wage: $45-$48, paid weekly, depending on prior experience
- Service Types: Includes both direct and indirect therapy
- Contract Status: Independent contractor position
- Insurance Requirement: Professional liability insurance is essential upon hiring
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote evaluations and assessments for speech, voice, hearing, and language issues.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies to support each student’s communication and language growth.
- Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to deliver effective virtual support.
Experience Needed:
- Minimum of two years in a school-based setting is necessary.
- Must be self-sufficient and comfortable working independently.
Required Credentials:
- New Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Willingness to obtain NMRLD and PED licenses if not currently held
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Up-to-date state clearances (including fingerprints, TB testing if necessary, and background checks)
