Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual services to students in Wilmington, NC. The Virtual SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders through a secure online platform, ensuring they receive high-quality therapy from the comfort of their homes or schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs, delivered via teletherapy.
  • Provide direct virtual therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the online learning environment.
  • Participate in IEP meetings virtually, contributing to the development and review of student-specific goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports in an online system.
  • Educate and support parents and teachers in implementing strategies to improve students' communication skills in a virtual setting.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid SLP license or certification in North Carolina.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience providing teletherapy or working in a virtual setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and digital tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a virtual caseload effectively.
