Virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - School Health – Maryland
Position Overview
The Virtual Speech Language Pathologist will deliver speech therapy services to schools throughout Maryland via teletherapy platforms. This remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with communication disorders.
What You Will Do
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate student's speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs, goals, and preferences.
- Deliver therapy sessions using teletherapy platforms, incorporating evidence-based techniques and interventions.
- Monitor student's progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document sessions and progress notes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide education and guidance to students and parents on strategies for improving communication skills and achieving therapy goals.
- Collaborate with educators and other therapists, to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) and current Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Minimum of [2] years of experience providing speech therapy services
- Proficiency in using technology and teletherapy platforms for service delivery.
