Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Pennsylvania (Remote/Virtual)
Job Type: Full-Time Work From Home Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Interpret evaluation results and use data to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
Intervention and Therapy:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy through virtual platforms.
- Implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals and monitor progress.
- Adapt therapy techniques to suit the virtual learning environment.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement strategies that support students' communication needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert input on speech and language goals.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, student progress, and IEP compliance.
- Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA and Section 504.
- Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
Technology Use:
- Utilize VocoVision teletherapy platforms and other virtual tools to deliver services effectively.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with virtual or teletherapy experience.
