Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)


Location: Remote (serving students in Connecticut)
Job Type: Full-Time 24/25 School Year Contract
Pay: $48/Hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations using virtual tools and technology to identify communication disorders in students.
  • Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on assessments, ensuring tailored interventions that meet each student’s needs.
  • Therapeutic Intervention: Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy through virtual platforms, adapting activities to engage students remotely.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support the student's educational goals and ensure cohesive support.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and document student progress regularly, adjusting therapy plans as needed and maintaining communication with the educational team and families.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with state and federal laws, IEP requirements, and documentation related to speech therapy services.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in virtual speech therapy.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Connecticut SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Experience working in a school-based setting, preferably in a virtual environment.
  • Strong knowledge of special education regulations, particularly IDEA and IEP processes.
