Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Tacoma, WA. This remote position allows you to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to students in a virtual setting. You will work with students who have communication disorders, helping them develop effective communication skills and achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals.
- Provide virtual therapy sessions, including individual and group sessions, tailored to students' needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy strategies into the students' educational plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and provide expert input on students' speech and language needs.
- Educate and support school staff and parents on strategies to support students' communication development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Washington.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with virtual therapy platforms and technology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a virtual environment.
