Job Description:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our virtual team for a full-time, remote position in Alabama. This role will support 8th-12th grade students in a school-based setting for the remainder of the academic year (ASAP to EOSY). The SLP will manage a caseload of 87 students, providing teletherapy services to help them meet their speech and language goals.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can effectively manage a diverse caseload, including students with behavioral challenges, and will work closely with other professionals to ensure student success. Para support will be available for students who need additional assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual speech and language assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services to students.
- Work with students in small groups or 1:1 settings.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff.
- Work with students with behavioral needs and implement strategies to promote success.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about progress and areas of concern.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Alabama.
- ASHA Certification preferred.
- Previous experience working with 8th-12th grade students, particularly in a school setting, is preferred.
- Experience with virtual/teletherapy is a plus.
- Ability to manage a large caseload and work independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual setting.
- Ability to adapt therapy to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with behavioral challenges.
