Position: School Audiologist
Location: Spanaway, WA
Dates: Full School Year
Details:
- Caseload: Various students across the school district
- Responsibilities: Conduct audiological assessments, provide auditory training, and collaborate with educators and parents to support students with hearing impairments. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with hearing needs. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education and health care in public schools. Provide recommendations and support for hearing aids and other auditory equipment as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Audiology from an accredited college or university
- Certifications: ESA certification with SLP endorsement
- Licenses: Valid Washington State Driver’s License
- Transportation: Access to personal transportation
- Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal laws concerning the provision of health care in public schools and regulations regarding students in special education
Additional Information:
- In-Person Requirement: This position requires onsite presence and cannot be performed remotely.
