Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist Work From Home

VocoVision is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist for a remote role in Virginia. Teletherapy is an innovative way to provide therapy services to students who may lack access to on-site support, offering therapists flexibility in their schedules.
About VocoVision: We connect schools with qualified tele-practitioners. Through our platform, you can deliver therapy, conduct assessments, and support students remotely, either individually or for larger groups. The platform's flexibility supports seamless collaboration with other educators. Both full-year and short-term positions are available.
Teletherapy eliminates the need for commuting, allows therapists to work from home, and gives them the opportunity to pursue other professional activities. VocoVision provides training, clinical support, and 24/7 assistance to ensure success.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech impairments remotely.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and assess students in need of special education services.
- Partner with the Special Education Coordinator to design IEP goals and treatment plans.
- Provide expert advice to school staff on oral communication, speech, and language development.
- Collect and analyze data related to student outcomes and school improvement.
- Help teachers and families adapt instruction for improved student engagement.
Skills:
- Experience in remote therapy is encouraged but not required (training provided).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using software for documentation and report preparation.
- Ability to troubleshoot speech therapy software and hardware challenges.
- Dedication to supporting students from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities, at-risk students, and gifted children.
- Strong decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail when managing sensitive student information.
Experience:
- 2-3 years in a school environment.
- Articulation, receptive, and expressive speech therapy experience preferred.
- Tele-therapy experience is a plus.
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
License:
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
- Must be licensed in both the state where you reside and the state where the school district is located.
