Independent Contractor (1099) – Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Job Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide teletherapy speech and language services to students within our district. This 1099 independent contractor position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work with a supportive team in an educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) based on student needs.
- Conduct speech and language screenings and evaluations.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and compliance records.
- Provide consultation and training to educators and families regarding speech-language strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices, policies, and procedures related to speech therapy in schools.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active state license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
- Experience working with school-aged children and knowledge of IEP processes.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must pass a background check and provide proof of liability insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a school setting.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
