Teletherapy Speech Language Pathologist in Virginia

Vocovision is searching for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work for a school district in Virginia for the spring semester of the 2024/2025 school year. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in school-aged children. Your expertise will help students develop and improve their speech, language, and social communication skills, enabling them to succeed academically and socially.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia
- ASHA CCC’s
- Two years of experience working in schools as an SLP
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic progress and inclusion in the classroom
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational goals
- Offer guidance and support to teachers and staff regarding communication strategies and accommodations
- Stay updated on the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in speech-language pathology
