Remote Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity
VocoVision is collaborating with a fantastic school district near Albuquerque, NM, seeking to hire a remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Candidates with prior experience in educational settings are strongly encouraged to apply, as the district is eager to fill this position quickly.
Location Note: You don’t need to reside in New Mexico to apply; however, you must hold licenses for both your home state and New Mexico.
Position Details:
- Availability: Full-time or part-time for the 2024-2025 academic year
- Caseload: 40-55 students (support from other remote SLPs and onsite assistants available)
- Compensation: $45-$48 per hour, paid weekly, depending on experience
- Services Provided: Direct and indirect therapy
- Contract Type: Independent contractor role
- Insurance Requirement: Professional liability insurance is mandatory upon hiring
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote evaluations and assessments for speech, voice, hearing, and language disorders.
- Design and implement tailored intervention strategies for each student’s communication and language development needs.
- Work collaboratively with educators and school personnel to deliver effective interventions virtually.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of two years in a school environment is essential.
- Ability to work independently is a must.
Certification Needed:
- New Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Willingness to obtain NMRLD and PED licenses if not currently held
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Current state clearances (including fingerprints, TB testing if necessary, background check, etc.)
