Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Telehealth Speech Language Pathologist in Delaware to join our team on a contract basis. As a Telehealth Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide virtual speech and language therapy services to clients of all ages. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in speech therapy and make a positive impact on individuals' communication abilities from the comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate clients' speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and goals based on clients' individual needs.
- Provide virtual therapy sessions using telepractice software and digital tools to deliver evidence-based interventions.
- Implement strategies to improve speech articulation, language comprehension, fluency, voice production, and other communication skills.
- Offer guidance and support to clients and their families/caregivers on techniques and activities to practice outside of therapy sessions.
- Regularly monitor and track clients' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and client progress.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Delaware state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in speech therapy, preferably with virtual or telepractice experience.
- Familiarity with telepractice platforms and digital tools used in speech therapy.
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders across the lifespan.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload remotely.
- Reliable internet connection, computer, and audio/video equipment for virtual therapy sessions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and meet client needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Telepractice or experience in providing virtual speech therapy services.
- Experience working with a diverse client population, including children, adults, and individuals with special needs.
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and assistive technology.
Please note that this position is a contract role (1099) and does not offer benefits or guaranteed hours. The hourly rate will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
