Position Overview:
As an SLPA contracted through Soliant Education, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students with speech and language needs. Your role will involve assisting in the delivery of therapy services, implementing treatment plans, and contributing to the overall success of the speech-language program in the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Therapy Sessions: Assist in delivering speech and language therapy to students as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Implement Treatment Plans: Follow and implement individualized treatment plans designed by the supervising SLP.
- Document Progress: Record and track student progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the supervising SLP, teachers, and other school staff to support student development and address any needs that arise.
- Engage with Students: Foster a positive and encouraging environment to help students achieve their communication goals.
- Assist with Assessments: Help with conducting assessments and gathering data as required for student evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
- Certification: Valid SLPA license or certification in Indiana.
- Experience: Experience in a school setting or working with children is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
