Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Black Diamond, Washington. The successful candidate will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech and language disorders, helping them develop communication skills and achieve academic success. This position involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the overall educational goals of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the implementation of speech and language goals in the classroom and at home.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations for services.
  • Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Washington State Department of Health licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Washington State Department of Health licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
