Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Start/End Date: August 1 to May 30
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Bell Times: 8:15 AM - 3:00 PM
Caseload: 50 - 60 students; PK - 12
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming school year in Port St. Joe, FL. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of 50 to 60 students spanning from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. The SLP will play a crucial role in providing direct student services, conducting screenings and evaluations, participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and collaborating with educators and parents to support student success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students based on individual needs and IEP goals.
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations to determine eligibility for speech-language services.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights to the development and review of IEP goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, services provided, and communication with stakeholders.
- Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology to ensure high-quality services.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Florida licensure or eligibility for Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community members.
