Speech Language Patholoigst Assistant (SLPA) - Schools
Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) ready to support students in a vibrant school environment? Soliant Education is seeking a skilled SLPA for a full-time position in Houston, TX. This opportunity allows you to contribute to students' communication development while working in a collaborative and supportive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in implementing and managing individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans for students with speech and language disorders.
- Conduct therapy sessions under the guidance of the SLP, focusing on enhancing students' articulation, fluency, and language skills.
- Monitor and document students' progress, providing regular updates and feedback to the supervising SLP and relevant school personnel.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and support students' overall communication development.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings to stay current with best practices and educational strategies.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or certification in Texas.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or a related field.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for tracking progress and maintaining documentation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic school environment.
