Speech Language Patholoigst Assistant (SLPA) | School-Based
Job Description: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position in Rifle, CO. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct support and assistance in implementing therapy plans and interventions for students with communication disorders. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the educational and social development of students while working within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting screenings and assessments to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Implement individual or group therapy sessions as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Support students in improving their speech, language, and communication skills through structured activities and exercises.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
- Valid Colorado state certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
