Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in the Bristow, VA area. This full-time, full-year position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational experiences and contribute to their success in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in providing speech and language therapy services to students.
  • Implement therapy plans designed by the SLP, including conducting individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, and report observations to the SLP.
  • Assist with the development and preparation of instructional materials and activities.
  • Support students in developing communication skills, both in one-on-one and classroom settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school and district policies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field.
  • Current SLPA licensure in the state of Virginia.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered support.

Contract Details:

  • Hourly Rate: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Contract Length: Full year (typically aligning with the academic calendar).
  • Hours: Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, following the school schedule.
