Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in the Bristow, VA area. This full-time, full-year position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational experiences and contribute to their success in the school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in providing speech and language therapy services to students.
- Implement therapy plans designed by the SLP, including conducting individual and group therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document students' progress, and report observations to the SLP.
- Assist with the development and preparation of instructional materials and activities.
- Support students in developing communication skills, both in one-on-one and classroom settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school and district policies.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field.
- Current SLPA licensure in the state of Virginia.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered support.
Contract Details:
- Hourly Rate: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
- Contract Length: Full year (typically aligning with the academic calendar).
- Hours: Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, following the school schedule.
