Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

In this role, you’ll work closely with students to support their communication development and help them overcome challenges that impact their academic and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students with communication and language difficulties in school settings.
- Work alongside the supervising SLP to implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Support students in improving skills in areas such as articulation, fluency, and language comprehension.
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain professionalism in all interactions with students, staff, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering input and collaborating on strategies to help students meet their communication goals.
What You’ll Need:
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- While previous experience in a school setting is preferred, it’s not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with students, educators, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of current speech therapy practices, ethics, and industry standards.
