Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - School-Based - Tracy, CA

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Tracy, CA. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in developing their speech and language skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing individual treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.
- Conduct therapy sessions with students as directed, focusing on enhancing communication skills, speech articulation, and language development.
- Support the SLP in conducting assessments and evaluations by gathering data and documenting student progress.
- Help create engaging and interactive activities to facilitate speech and language development in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to incorporate speech and language strategies into classroom activities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress, ensuring compliance with school policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in California.
- Previous experience in a school or clinical setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for supporting students’ speech and language development.
