Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) School-Based Position
Location: Alton, New Hampshire
Position: Part-Time, 2 Days per Week (January - April)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a caseload of 15+ students in PreK-5th grade. This temporary part-time position begins in January and continues through April. The SLPA will work collaboratively with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services for students with mild to moderate speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech-language therapy plans as directed by the supervising SLP
- Provide direct support to students in PreK-5th grade with mild to moderate speech/language needs
- Assist in preparing materials and activities for therapy sessions
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student communication goals
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in compliance with state and school policies
Qualifications:
- Current SLPA license in New Hampshire
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and therapy techniques
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time, 2 days per week
- January through April
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
