Position Summary:
As a School-Based SLPA, you will collaborate with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students facing communication challenges. Your role will be instrumental in implementing therapy plans and fostering improvements in students’ speech and language abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing speech and language therapy services to students.
- Implement treatment plans under the guidance of the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Conduct screenings and assist with the assessment process.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Participate in meetings and ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
