Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Greensboro, NC. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide support to students with speech and language disorders. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing individualized treatment plans for students.
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the guidance and supervision of the SLP.
- Help prepare and organize therapy materials and resources for individual or group sessions.
- Monitor and document student progress during therapy sessions and provide feedback to the SLP.
- Assist with speech and language screenings and assessments as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other school staff to support students' communication needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in North Carolina.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
