Job Description: We are seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Columbus, NE. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapeutic services to students with communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language treatment plans as prescribed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Provide direct therapy to students individually or in groups, focusing on speech articulation, language development, and social communication skills.
- Collect data and document student progress, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Support the SLP in conducting screenings and assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
- Maintain a positive and engaging therapy environment for students.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Current SLPA license or eligibility to be licensed in the state of Nebraska.
- Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
