We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a dynamic school-based team in Lakewood, WA for the remainder of the school year. Job Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering speech therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Implement therapy plans and individual education plans (IEPs) under the supervision of an SLP.
- Conduct screenings and assessments as needed.
- Maintain documentation of therapy sessions and progress notes.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' communication goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of therapy goals.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of Washington.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for helping students succeed and grow.
