Job Description:
Soliant is seeking a talented Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Queen Creek, AZ. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a school-based setting, helping students overcome communication challenges and achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
For SLPs:
- Conduct evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Provide direct therapy to students and monitor their progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals.
For SLPAs:
- Support SLPs in providing therapy services under their supervision.
- Assist in maintaining records and documentation.
- Implement therapy activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Ensure compliance with school and state regulations.
Requirements:
SLP Candidates:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Arizona SLP license through the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS).
- Arizona Department of Education (ADE) certification required.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
SLPA Candidates:
- Completion of an approved SLPA program or equivalent educational requirements.
- Valid Arizona SLPA license.
- Arizona Department of Education (ADE) certification preferred.
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is a plus.
State-Specific Requirements for Arizona:
- Valid Arizona fingerprint clearance card required.
- Familiarity with Arizona educational standards and compliance with state regulations for school-based services.
