Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year in Fall River, MA. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders. This role involves working closely with teachers, families, and other support staff to provide high-quality therapy services, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure students achieve their academic goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Massachusetts state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but CFs are welcome to apply
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- School-based experience is desirable, but not required
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to support students
- Track and document student progress, adjusting treatment as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings and help set realistic goals for student success
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech therapy
