Speech-Language Pathologist (SLPA), Part-Time, - Palo Alto, CA
Job Summary:
The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services to students with communication disorders. The role includes implementing therapy plans, supporting classroom integration, and collaborating with teachers and families to enhance student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising SLP in delivering individual or group speech and language therapy sessions.
- Implement therapy plans designed by the SLP to support student communication goals.
- Collect and document data on student progress and report findings to the SLP.
- Prepare therapy materials and activities to support lesson plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
- Support generalization of communication strategies in the classroom and other school settings.
- Adhere to all district policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations for speech-language pathology services.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or related field.
- Valid SLPA license/certification in CA
- Previous experience in a school setting (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
