Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team in York, ME. This school-based opportunity allows you to work closely with students, helping them overcome communication challenges to achieve academic and social success. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to foster an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique goals.
- Provide direct therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress regularly.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
- Train teachers and parents on strategies to support communication development in various settings.
- Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Maine State Licensure or eligibility to obtain one.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in a school setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
