Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in West Palm Beach, FL. The SLP will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. As part of a dynamic educational team, you will play a crucial role in helping students improve their communication skills and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students’ needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
- Provide direct therapy services to students both individually and in small groups.
- Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students’ needs are met.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and accommodations.
- Offer guidance to parents on ways to support speech and language development at home.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy services, assessments, and progress.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding speech and language therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Florida State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A passion for helping students succeed academically and socially.
