Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Watertown, MA
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Watertown, MA. In this school-based role, you will provide therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, working closely with educational staff and parents to ensure each child’s needs are met in an inclusive and supportive environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills while working within a collaborative and dynamic school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students.
- Monitor and document progress toward IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective treatment plans and communication strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide valuable input regarding speech and language goals.
- Provide consultation and guidance to school staff regarding speech and language interventions.
- Support students in both individual and group settings to improve communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Massachusetts state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification preferred.
- Experience in a school-based setting is a plus, but not required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
