Job Description: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Walled Lake, MI. This school-based position involves assessing and treating students with communication disorders, facilitating their ability to communicate effectively and achieve academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s specific needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to create a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to discussions about goals and accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current Michigan SLP license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Prior experience in a school setting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
