Details
Position Type: Full-time
Caseload: EC - 12th grade students
Pay Range: $45 - $52+/hr; depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas of need.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders.
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students, either in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to support students’ communication goals across all settings.
- Educate and train school staff and families about communication strategies and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, therapy sessions, and other required documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Stay current with best practices and professional development in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Manage caseload and adhere to all school district and state/federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with children in a school setting, preferably within a public school district.
- Knowledge of IEP development and special education processes.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- A commitment to providing culturally responsive services and supporting a diverse student
