Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Swainsboro, GA
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Georgia State Licensure
Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Swainsboro, GA. In this role, you will provide speech and language therapy services in a school-based setting, working with students who have a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students overcome their challenges and achieve success in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to assess communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure the success of students receiving speech-language services.
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech-language needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, therapy sessions, and any additional reports.
- Offer guidance and strategies to teachers and parents on how to support students with speech-language challenges.
- Participate in IEP meetings to provide updates on student progress and recommend therapy goals.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that students’ communication needs are being met.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in Georgia (GA).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the needs of diverse students.
