Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in St. Clair Shores, MI for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time, onsite position is split between a middle school and an upper elementary school, where you'll work with 5th-grade students and those in a self-contained Mild Cognitive Impairment class. Join a supportive school community and help students develop critical communication skills!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to a caseload of up to 65 students, starting closer to 50.
- Work with 5th-grade students and a self-contained class for students with Mild Cognitive Impairment.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support students' speech and language development.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet individual needs.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) OR
Teaching Certificate with SLI endorsement AND Speech-Language Pathologist Limited License OR
Master’s degree (or higher) from an accredited program approved for a Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY). - Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in working with students with Mild Cognitive Impairment is a plus.
