Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Modesto, CA. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students.
Key Responsibilities:
For SLPs:
- Conduct assessments and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy to students, both individually and in groups.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
- Document progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to enhance student outcomes.
For SLPAs:
- Assist the SLP in executing treatment plans for students.
- Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of an SLP.
- Monitor and report on student progress to the supervising SLP.
- Prepare materials and activities for therapy sessions.
- Support the SLP in maintaining accurate records of student progress.
Qualifications:
For SLPs:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid SLP license or certification in California.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
For SLPAs:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
- Valid SLPA license or certification in California.
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
