Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Lebanon, TN. The ideal candidate will provide essential speech and language services to students, working closely with educators and families to support student communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
For SLPs:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
- Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student-specific goals.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
For SLPAs:
- Assist the supervising SLP in delivering therapy services according to treatment plans.
- Conduct therapy sessions with students under the direction of an SLP.
- Monitor and document student progress, reporting findings to the SLP.
- Prepare and organize materials for therapy sessions.
- Support the SLP in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications:
For SLPs:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid SLP license or certification in Tennessee.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience in a school setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
For SLPAs:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
- Valid SLPA license or certification in Tennessee.
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
