Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Skokie, IL (School-Based)
Job Description: We are actively seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Skokie, IL. This school-based position is perfect for a passionate and skilled SLP ready to make a difference in the lives of students by diagnosing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to provide comprehensive speech therapy services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Deliver direct therapy for speech sound production, voice, fluency, and language difficulties.
- Participate in the development and execution of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with school staff, including teachers and special educators, to support students' overall learning and communication goals.
- Provide guidance to families on how to support students’ communication development.
- Track student progress and update therapy plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Illinois state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
