Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Vista, CA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students improve their communication skills, enabling them to succeed academically and socially. You will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide assessments, therapy, and support tailored to each student's needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech and language disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy strategies into classroom and home environments.
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing input and recommendations for students' speech and language goals.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
