Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Rochester, PA. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders, providing critical support to improve their communication skills and enhance their educational and social development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing insights and recommendations for students’ speech and language goals.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
