Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Lippitt, RI. As an SLP, you will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders, helping them develop effective communication skills to enhance their academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students and track their progress consistently.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environments.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations for students’ speech and language goals.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Rhode Island.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
