Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Syracuse, NY. In this school-based position, you will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat various speech and language disorders, helping them develop effective communication skills and achieve success in their academic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address specific speech and language needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students and monitor their progress consistently.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and at home.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing insights and recommendations on students’ speech and language goals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
