Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - School Based
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Houston, TX for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment, helping students enhance their communication skills and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.

Therapeutic Intervention:
- Provide direct therapy to students, focusing on improving speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver effective interventions.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support students' needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.

Progress Monitoring:
- Track and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and district policies.

Education and Support:
- Provide training and resources to staff and parents to support students' speech and language development.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
