Job Description:
Soliant is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, school-based position in Woodhaven, MI. The ideal candidate will work closely with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic and social skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of students' speech and language capabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's specific needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to enhance communication skills among students.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings to discuss goals, progress, and recommendations for students.
- Educate and support staff and families on speech and language strategies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Michigan state SLP licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience in a school setting is beneficial but not required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
