ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position in Sweet Briar, VA, for the 2024-2025 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students across various grade levels, providing essential speech therapy services that enhance their communication skills and support their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Therapy Services: Provide both direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students, focusing on improving their communication abilities and academic performance.
- Assessment & Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure that speech therapy is effectively integrated into each student’s educational program.
- Documentation: Keep accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and re-evaluations, tracking student outcomes effectively.
- IEP Participation: Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, helping to develop and monitor student goals.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must hold an active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills are essential.
