Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and Diagnose: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify student needs.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Provide Therapy: Deliver effective speech and language therapy services in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student development and integrate therapy goals into the classroom.
- Monitor Progress: Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in Meetings: Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive educational strategies for students.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid Ohio SLP license required.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
- Experience: Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills; ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
